"The costs of global warming..."

In The Reigster. Which I will have to read properly later. Pretty sure they had something else of interest, too, last week, by Andrew Orlowski ...

I had a quick look at the post and browsed a few other posts about global warming that were on the Register site. I'm afraid that what I've seen on that site is just out of date. The science has moved on and is just getting more and more scary. If you haven't seen the Iain Stewart programme "Climate Wars" yet, watch it on iPlayer - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00dqcmw/ .You've got until 28th Sept to catch the 3rd episode. Stewart points out the evidence from the climate record of many episodes of very rapid climate change. Non-linear climate change is a natural feature of the climate system. The programme interviews a climate scientist who is clearly scared rigid by the evidence of past rapid climate change. For example, the Younger Dryas period where in the Greenland region the snowfall shows a climate system flip of 5 degrees within a period of between 1 and 3 years! Anyway, watch the programme.

from that article, Stern still looks better than Lawson and Lomberg.
